Tucked away in a corner of the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport is the Carolinas Aviation Museum. For an otherwise small museum this place has a LOT of historic military aviation. We visited just as the air cleared from a large thunderstorm, so all the paths were awash, and the exhibits dripping. But the museum has a hangar and small bookstore if you need shelter on less clement days.
