The A-6 was a sub-sonic naval bomber for the US Navy. It served through the Vietnam war up until the 1990's when it was quite suddenly withdrawn from service. In its electronic warfare version, the EA-6A and later EA-6B it continues to serve in both the US Navy and the US Airforce.
