The Vought A-7 Corsair was a medium bomber, it was capable of being deployed from carriers, and was a mainstay of the US Navy and the Marine Corps through the late 60's, into the 80's. Derived from the F-8 Crusader fighter, as a subonic aircraft, it was nevertheless a successful aircraft. It was exported widely. In later years it saw significant service with reserve and Air National Guard units in the USA.
